Help Shape Michigan's Climate Plan

We face the most significant undertaking in Michigan to combat climate change. It is imperative we get it right.

The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the citizen-led Michigan Council on Climate Solutions are developing a statewide climate plan to help us reach carbon neutrality by 2050. The Council has made recommendations; EGLE will consider them as it creates a draft plan.

This is the most significant undertaking in Michigan to combat climate change, and it is imperative we get it right. But industry and other stakeholders are working behind the scenes to water down the plan’s recommendations. Strong public engagement around the Council on Climate Solutions' recommendations is vital.

We need your help to ensure these critical recommendations and more are part of EGLE's draft and final plans to fight climate change.
